Take a Road Trip and See what the U.S. has to Offer

When it comes to taking an unforgettable vacation, you should know that you don’t always have to leave the country. While it’s wonderful when we actually get an opportunity to do so, there is plenty to do and see right here in the United States. What makes it even better is that though you can certainly fly from city to city, you also have the option of hopping into your car and hitting the highway. Did somebody say “road trip”?

Regardless of whether you’re a recent college grad looking to see the country before settling into the “real world”, or a retiree who’s looking to have some fun after what feels like a lifetime behind a desk, everyone’s dreamed of road-tripping across the country at some point. When you finally decide you’ve had enough of the dreaming and want to get out there, we can help you figure out which direction to head in.

If you’re planning to start out here in Dallas, why not consider cruising up the west coast and hitting some hot spots along the way? Load up the car and head out to Arizona, making the Grand Canyon your first stop. With one of the eight natural wonders of the world resting comfortably in our own backyard, there’s no way that you could plan a tour anywhere in the U.S. and not make the Grand Canyon a “must-see” on your list.

Once you’ve taken in the sights, pile back into the car and head back to the highway. Where to next? Well you still have a ways to go until you get to the coast, so if you’re feeling lucky, why not make a stop in sin city?  It’s roughly a four hour drive from the Canyons to Las Vegas so if you’re not tied down to any type of schedule, this could make for one incredibly fun-filled pit-stop.

From there, it’s straight on to The Golden State! With so much to see, we would suggest heading down to San Diego first and then make your way up the California Coast Highway – a sight to see all in itself! Consider making stops in Los Angeles to check out Hollywood, Santa Barbara to catch a show at the famous Arlington Theatre and of course, San Francisco to snap a few pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The beauty of a road trip is that you don’t have to worry about missing one connecting flight after another; you can take yourself wherever you’d like to and you can feel free to stay as long as you’d like. You’re on your own time table now! You can choose to end your trip in California, or continue on up through Portland and on to Seattle; the possibilities are endless and they’re at your disposal right now!
